DECENAL

Description

Decenal, also known as decanal or n-decanal, is a naturally occurring organic compound belonging to the aldehyde family. This colorless, oily liquid has a distinct floral-citrus odor and is commonly found in essential oils of various plants, including citrus fruits and coriander. In skincare formulations, decenal serves multiple purposes due to its unique properties.

As an active ingredient, decenal exhibits antimicrobial and antifungal properties, making it valuable in products designed to combat acne-causing bacteria and promote clearer skin. Its ability to inhibit microbial growth also contributes to the preservation of cosmetic formulations, extending their shelf life.
