Description

D&C Colors, also known as Drug and Cosmetic colors, are synthetic dyes approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and certain foods. These colorants are derived from petroleum or coal tar sources and undergo rigorous testing for safety and stability. D&C Colors are classified into two main categories: D&C colors, which are approved for use in drugs and cosmetics, and FD&C colors, which are additionally approved for food applications.

These colorants offer vibrant, consistent hues and superior color stability compared to many natural alternatives.
