DESCRIPTION
What It Does: Provides anti-inflammatory activity through nf-kb inhibition from gold nanoparticle-cell membrane interaction, scavenges reactive oxygen species through the nanoparticle surface electron transfer, and provides the premium luxury gold narrative in prestige formulations.
Why It's Used: Gold nanoparticles provide unique photocatalytic antioxidant activity โ the surface plasmon resonance absorbs photon energy and transfers it to electron transfer reactions that quench ros, a mechanism unavailable from molecular antioxidants.
