Description

CI 15525, also known as Orange 4 or Sunset Yellow FCF, is a synthetic azo dye widely used in cosmetics and personal care products. This water-soluble colorant imparts a vibrant orange-yellow hue to various formulations, including skincare products, makeup, and hair dyes. CI 15525 is approved by the FDA for use in cosmetics and is considered safe when used as directed.

The molecular structure of CI 15525 consists of a disodium salt of 6-hydroxy-5-[(4-sulfophenyl)azo]-2-naphthalenesulfonic acid. This composition allows for excellent color stability and uniformity in diverse product types.
