Description

Chamazulene is a deep blue, aromatic compound derived primarily from chamomile, yarrow, and wormwood essential oils. This azulene-based sesquiterpene is renowned for its potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, making it a valuable ingredient in skincare and cosmetic formulations.

Chamazulene is formed during the steam distillation process of certain plants, particularly Matricaria chamomilla (German chamomile).
