CERAMIDE NG

Description

Ceramide NG is a synthetic ceramide that plays a crucial role in maintaining skin barrier function and hydration. This biocompatible ingredient closely mimics naturally occurring ceramides found in the skin's stratum corneum. Ceramide NG belongs to the family of ceramide 3, also known as N-stearoyl phytosphingosine.

As a key component of the skin's lipid matrix, Ceramide NG helps to strengthen the skin barrier, reduce transepidermal water loss, and improve overall skin hydration. Its molecular structure allows it to integrate seamlessly into the skin's lipid bilayers, enhancing the cohesion between corneocytes and improving skin resilience.

In skincare formulations, Ceramide NG is typically used at concentrations between 0.1% to 2%. It is particularly beneficial for dry, sensitive, or compromised skin types. This ingredient can help alleviate symptoms associated with various skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, and general skin irritation.

Ceramide NG is compatible with a wide range of cosmetic ingredients and is stable in various pH environments. Its incorporation in skincare products can lead to improved skin texture, enhanced moisture retention, and a more balanced, healthier-looking complexion.
