CELLULASE

Description

Cellulase is an enzyme complex that has gained significant attention in skincare formulations for its unique ability to break down cellulose, a major component of plant cell walls. This enzyme is naturally produced by various microorganisms, including certain bacteria and fungi. In skincare applications, cellulase is primarily derived from controlled fermentation processes using specific strains of these microorganisms.

The primary function of cellulase in skincare products is to facilitate gentle exfoliation by breaking down dead skin cells, which are largely composed of cellulose-like materials. This action helps to improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of fine lines, and promote a more even skin tone.
