C12-15 Alcohols are a group of fatty alcohols derived from natural sources such as coconut or palm oil. These medium-chain alcohols, primarily composed of dodecanol (C12) and pentadecanol (C15), serve multiple functions in skincare and cosmetic formulations. As emollients, they help soften and smooth the skin, while their emulsifying properties aid in blending oil and water-based ingredients.

These alcohols exhibit low irritation potential and are well-tolerated by most skin types. They act as thickening agents, enhancing product texture and stability.
