BUTYRUM

Description

Butyrum, also known as butter, is a natural emollient and occlusive agent derived from dairy. This multifaceted ingredient has been used in skincare formulations for centuries due to its rich composition of fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals. Butyrum contains high concentrations of saturated fats, primarily palmitic, oleic, and stearic acids, which contribute to its skin-softening and barrier-enhancing properties.

The lipid content in butyrum helps to reinforce the skin's natural moisture barrier, reducing transepidermal water loss and improving hydration. Its occlusive nature creates a protective layer on the skin, shielding it from environmental stressors and irritants. Butyrum is particularly beneficial for dry, sensitive, or compromised skin types.

In addition to its moisturizing benefits, butyrum contains small amounts of vitamins A, D, and E, which provide antioxidant protection and support skin cell turnover. The presence of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) in butyrum may offer anti-inflammatory benefits, potentially aiding in the management of certain skin conditions. When incorporated into skincare formulations, butyrum can enhance product texture, improve spreadability, and contribute to a luxurious feel on the skin.
