BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER

Description

Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, commonly known as Shea Butter, is a natural fat extracted from the nuts of the African Shea tree (Vitellaria paradoxa). This rich, ivory-colored substance has been used for centuries in traditional African skincare and has gained popularity in modern cosmetic formulations.

Shea Butter is composed primarily of triglycerides, with oleic and stearic acids as the main fatty acid components. It also contains vitamins A, E, and F, which contribute to its antioxidant properties. The butter's high concentration of fatty acids and vitamins makes it an excellent emollient and skin conditioning agent.

In skincare formulations, Shea Butter is valued for its ability to moisturize and soften the skin without clogging pores. It helps improve skin elasticity, reduce inflammation, and promote cell regeneration. The ingredient is particularly beneficial for dry, rough, or sensitive skin types.

Shea Butter's melting point is close to body temperature, allowing it to be easily absorbed into the skin. It is commonly used in lotions, creams, lip balms, and hair care products. The butter also possesses mild UV protection properties, making it a useful addition to sun care formulations.
