Description

Bumetrizole, also known as Eusolex 9020, is a potent ultraviolet (UV) filter commonly used in sunscreens and other skincare products. This oil-soluble compound belongs to the benzotriazole class of UV absorbers, providing broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays. Bumetrizole is particularly effective at absorbing UV radiation in the 280-400 nm range, making it an essential ingredient in photostable sunscreen formulations.

The chemical structure of bumetrizole allows it to remain stable when exposed to sunlight, ensuring long-lasting protection throughout the day. It is often combined with other UV filters to enhance overall sun protection factor (SPF) and improve the photostability of the formulation.
