BASIC BLUE 7

Description

Basic Blue 7, also known as CI 42595, is a synthetic dye widely used in the haircare industry. This water-soluble cationic compound belongs to the triarylmethane class of dyes and is characterized by its vibrant blue color. Basic Blue 7 is primarily employed in temporary hair coloring products, such as semi-permanent dyes, color-depositing shampoos, and toning treatments.

The dye's cationic nature allows it to adhere effectively to the hair shaft, particularly to damaged or porous areas, providing intense color results. Basic Blue 7 is especially useful in counteracting unwanted yellow or brassy tones in blonde, gray, or silver hair.
