ACID ORANGE 24

Description

Acid Orange 24, also known as CI 20170, is a synthetic azo dye commonly used in hair coloring products. This vibrant orange colorant is particularly effective in semi-permanent and temporary hair dyes, offering a bold and eye-catching hue. Its molecular structure allows for efficient penetration of the hair shaft, resulting in intense color payoff and improved longevity compared to some other dyes.

In hair formulations, Acid Orange 24 exhibits good stability across a range of pH levels, making it versatile for various product types. It demonstrates compatibility with other dyes, enabling the creation of complex color blends. This colorant performs well in both oxidative and non-oxidative hair coloring systems, providing formulators with flexibility in product development.

While Acid Orange 24 offers excellent coloring properties, it's important to note that some individuals may experience allergic reactions or skin sensitization. As with all hair dyes, patch testing is recommended before use. Additionally, this colorant may cause temporary staining of the skin and scalp during application, which typically fades within a few days. When formulating with Acid Orange 24, care should be taken to optimize color retention while minimizing potential skin irritation.
