ACETOBACTER/SACCHAROMYCES/RICE KERNEL FERMENT

Description

Acetobacter/Saccharomyces/Rice Kernel Ferment is an innovative skincare ingredient derived from the fermentation of rice kernels using a combination of Acetobacter bacteria and Saccharomyces yeast. This fermentation process yields a potent blend of bioactive compounds, including amino acids, vitamins, and organic acids. The ingredient is particularly rich in kojic acid, a natural skin-brightening agent known for its ability to inhibit melanin production and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation.

The ferment also contains alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), which provide gentle exfoliation and promote cell turnover. These AHAs, primarily lactic acid, help to improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines. Additionally, the fermentation process generates antioxidants that protect the skin from free radical damage and environmental stressors.

Studies have shown that this ferment can enhance skin hydration by increasing ceramide production and strengthening the skin barrier. It also demonstrates anti-inflammatory properties, making it suitable for sensitive and acne-prone skin types. The ingredient's natural origin and multifaceted benefits make it a valuable addition to various skincare formulations, including serums, moisturizers, and masks.
