Description

Meroxapol 312 is a versatile nonionic surfactant and emulsifier widely used in haircare formulations. This ethoxylated polymer belongs to the family of poloxamers, known for their excellent solubilizing and stabilizing properties. Meroxapol 312 consists of a central hydrophobic polypropylene oxide block flanked by two hydrophilic polyethylene oxide chains.

In haircare products, Meroxapol 312 functions as a conditioning agent, detangler, and foam booster. It forms a protective film on hair strands, reducing friction and improving combability. This ingredient is particularly effective in leave-in conditioners and styling products, where it enhances manageability and imparts a smooth, silky feel to the hair.

Meroxapol 312 also acts as an efficient emulsifier, helping to create stable oil-in-water emulsions in shampoos and conditioners.
