Description

Maleic acid is a dicarboxylic acid with notable exfoliating and pH-adjusting properties, making it a valuable ingredient in skincare formulations. This alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) derivative is structurally similar to malic acid but offers unique benefits. Maleic acid effectively promotes cell turnover, helping to improve skin texture and tone.
