Description

Lycopene is a potent antioxidant carotenoid found abundantly in red and pink fruits and vegetables, most notably tomatoes. This lipophilic compound is responsible for the characteristic red color of these foods and has gained significant attention in the skincare industry for its potential dermatological benefits.

As a powerful free radical scavenger, lycopene helps protect the skin from oxidative stress caused by UV radiation and environmental pollutants. It has been shown to enhance skin's natural defense mechanisms against photodamage, potentially reducing the risk of premature aging and skin cancer.
