Description

Laureth-3 is a versatile synthetic ingredient commonly used in cosmetics and personal care products. It functions primarily as an emulsifier, surfactant, and solubilizer, helping to blend oil and water-based components in formulations. This ethoxylated lauryl alcohol derivative is created by treating lauryl alcohol with ethylene oxide, resulting in a compound with enhanced water solubility.

In skincare and haircare products, Laureth-3 aids in creating stable emulsions and improving the texture and spreadability of formulations. It acts as a mild cleansing agent, helping to remove dirt and oil from the skin and hair without excessive drying.
