Description

Dimethylaminopropylamine (DMAPA) is a versatile compound used in various personal care formulations, particularly in haircare products. This colorless liquid amine is primarily employed as a precursor in the synthesis of surfactants, such as cocamidopropyl betaine, which are widely used in shampoos and conditioners.

DMAPA contributes to the production of mild, foam-boosting agents that enhance the cleansing properties of haircare products without causing excessive dryness or irritation. Its ability to form amphoteric surfactants allows for the creation of gentle, pH-balanced formulations suitable for sensitive scalps.
